Bad news I fear, the computer (halmoni) which serves Battle Mines and Game of God went down this morning. We've been having some power outage issues in our house, the server may have gotten a nasty jolt at some point.
I have a recent backup of Battle Mines, but I can't give any word yet on the recovery of GoG.
Hopefully the issue can be resolved when I get home tonight, otherwise, I'll be hunting for some new web space to use pretty soon.
This sucks ass! Stay tuned to this thread for updates.

All right, so returning home this evening I was able to solve the problem with alacrity. I thought halmoni had given up the ghost, but in fact the problem was with the DHCP in the router. For some reason it lost all its MAC addresses and started assigning all my machines the wrong IPs. There is also a lot of uncertainty with the electrical arrangements in my apartment, and we had some circuits tripped Sunday night. Anyway, all better now, and we had some fun before the restore, I fixed warfare and tested the scrambler. Thanks all for your patience and concern. I made sure gog will get her backups too, she's only a fraction the filesize of fat old bm, despite the incredible crappiness of her code.

It appears to be down again... at least from two sites that I've tried... *sob* -Cirdan.

Confirmed, it is going down intermittently again, I believe it to be hardware problems with the server. It also seems to happen right at production. I can't say when these problems will be resolved, mostly likely not at all until rasteroid.net is competently hosted.

To offset the apparent overload at BM production times, enforced random production times and a player cap has been instituted on this game. Following the procurement of new hardware to relieve the ailing Halmoni server and the shoddy Shaw connection, these bans should be revoked. But until then, take it easy.

As of today it seems Gigantor's network has become patchy. It's out of my hands. Live BM, live!!!

Hi guys,
I forgot to mention to the GoGers, but I'm in the process of moving right now. The old machine that GoG runs on has no internet, but it will be back when my internet is, fret ye not.
Probably another day or two from now.
