too bad my code is so buggy or I'd have time to add new stuff.
the difference between attack is you walk up to someone and try to kill them.. naturally they run if they can, unless they grossly outmatch you.
with hunt you sneak up to them, and force them to fight to the death if your hunt succeeds. This depends on intelligence as well as innate and learned hunting experience.
I hope there are no bugs in combat, I'll test it. I would like to have specific injuries with specific effects, but straight up fighting will remain a highly prosaic affair following strict non-random rules.

ps. combat messages seem to be lacking somewhat. I managed to end up "at death's door" while only getting fleeing and error messages; no indication of me taking damage from any of the messages. sounds like others have experienced the same thing.
