*** Warning.. may contain mild game spoilers. (My spy and battle reports.)
Well, what a day.
Having attained Tech 12, I decided it was time to do something about that maiac xade in the south.
To the southeast lay the land of landia, maceo's domain. If I fought through him, I could pick up an invaluable Tech Level. (Diamond Drills.. shudder.) That of course would require the additional production to equip him with one of my palantirs, and time was of the essence. Given our longstanding diplomatic agreement, I decided my path lay to the south, through south xadebrook - I was on the trail of a madman, plunging through domains named in his honour.
Caprius, though a recently new member of the BM world, was no slouch militarily. An academy, EUR, plenty of Coal and Cannon, a Theocratic government with Church promised to put up a good fight. I upgraded my Informant and revolted him to Technocracy, he being domeless.
Alas, he was stronger than I had imagined.
The war with Caprius was a draw! Both sides sustained equal damage!
We were hit with Enriched Uranium!
Shells fired: 8 Hits: 5
Opponent shells fired: 6 Hits: 3
Our opponent lost 10 buildings.
Buildings lost: One Mine, 5 Warehouses, one Greenhouse, one Mosque, one Telescope, one Cannon. 10 buildings total.
Objects lost: 8 Coal, 8 Uranium Ore, one Diamond Drill.
Objects recovered: 7 Bauxite, 5 Sand, 4 Pig Iron.
I sat back to lick my wounds for a production or two. His assault had taken out some juicy buildings, so now I was committed to moving out of Canada.
Unexpectedly, my government was changed to Fascism by agents unknown shortly before lunchtime. Less powerful, but perhaps well suited to the unpleasant work afoot I mused. Having no Food to dictate otherwise, I had little choice.
Then, this afternoon, the weakened Caprius folded:
WE WON THE WAR! We did more damage than Caprius!
Shells fired: 5 Hits: 3
Opponent shells fired: 1 Hits: 0
Our opponent lost 3 buildings.
Objects lost: 5 Coal, one Uranium Ore, 3 Bauxite, one Pig Iron.
We performed a land exchange with our defeated foe!
We employed scorched earth tactics! That'll teach 'em!
Victory! But with little time to spare. Adjusting my policies, I quickly rebuilt several cannons to press my swath of destruction.
A monsterous battle mine loomed to the southeast in the land of Asstastica. Smashed up droid, the ripest plum of all. A full food in bounty if I could crush him! And taking his land should put me in ICBM range of xade! Diplomat says: Smashed up droid has no eur! So I attack.. but DISASTER!
WE WON THE WAR! We did more damage than Smashed up droid!
We were hit with Uranium Ore!
Shells fired: 6 Hits: 6
Opponent shells fired: 7 Hits: 3
Our opponent lost 28 buildings.
Buildings lost: 2 Warehouses, one Academy, one Mine. 4 buildings total.
Objects lost: 6 Coal, 6 Enriched Uranium.
Objects recovered: 4 Bauxite, one Sand, one Uranium Ore, one Diamond.
We tried to force a land exchange, but Smashed up droid hid in a bunker!
Leaving the droid cowering in his bunker, I considered my options. A trip south through the idle Jeong In would get me within ICBM range, but supplies were low. Hopefully he wouldn't put up much of a fight...

Success! And finally, with the placement of an outpost those fiery birds of destruction would be winging their way to mine arbitrary enemy.. BUT NO! Cirdan, and his technocratic dome blocked my path.
Foiled, after all that. And now forced to reside a spell in west xadebrook, while on the other side of that dome, the man this land is named after sits, waiting, waiting..
