Okay, here's my feedback on the first Doomsday Device going off:
Scrap: Was the lack of scrap deliberate, so that the rebuilding would have to be done entirely from newly mined materials?
Pollution and Rebuilding: 50 pollution seems to be a bit excessive to me. I just finally started mining again the last cycle. That's been three days in which I could do nothing at all (and I'm coastal, so I assume it's worse for those further inland). That means that the only people who could do much lately has been URO miners, who would be relatively unaffected by the high pollution. Low TL URO miners clearly have the advantage in the immediate aftermath of Doomsday, as they can continue to mine, and still have affordable Ramul prices for other materials. High TL and miners of other materials are stuck where they are until the pollution wears off. With this (and the lack of scrap) in mind, lower pollution might allow the rebuilding process to begin more quickly.
Vassals: The user of the DDD gets several vassals. However, with the high pollution and lack of materials, would the master even get any tithes from them, or is it only supposed to make them a better target once the rebuilding has started?
Overall opinion: The sudden reset levels the playing field nicely, giving the weaker players (lower TL) a good chance to get ahead of the established players. The long period of inactivity could be discouraging to some, though, so perhaps something should be done to allow for more immediate activity in the aftermath.
