The factions don't seem to do much more other than offer a new comm. and give you an outline in your map. I'd like to see policies you can set in the factions tab; such as sharing intelligence (which is my major point here), maybe a formal setting for inter-faction warfare/allegiences a la other mmorpgs, perhaps the comm. for factions should be IN the faction tab rather than the Comm. tab for organization. Detailed faction description pages, maintained by the leader. and trades available ONLY to faction members would be handy (for those of us who are global traders, but don't always want to be). Oh, as an aside, whatever happened to the Gift trades that we talked about months ago; was it poo-poo'd?

The Gift Trade idea isn't a bad one. What if there were cooperative buildings? Ones that required you and your neighbor to work together to build. You could have one of them be a Bridge, requiring that you both have an Outpost, which allows you to transfer resources to your neighbor free of charge. It could also come with a higher incidence of corruption towards that person, though. Perhaps it could also improve local warfare accuracy, as you betray your friend and take the Bridge over.
Another idea: What about a Faction page for individual factions, that anyone could look up? It could have a list of members and a place for the Faction's description.
