Suggest creation of NPC battleminers. e.g. Trader - trades x items for y items. Could be cool especially if its like something thats hard to produce. like food. A food merchant ?
pirates - in honor of the late battleminer 'pirate' before the launchpad fix

There is a Food merchant. His name's Methuselah.
There are pirates in random events.

True, but I like the idea of NPCs. I've been sitting on it for a while. I'd make a couple of unique characters, probably extend the quest or have more of 'em.

Except this time, filter keywords related to undocumented characters, concepts and places, so that people can't blab about it so easily.
Shush!

Filters never work. Plus, how's he going to install a filter on proboards?

Proboards have swear filters. You could just change "Methelusah" to be filtered to "a secret" or something.
But I think in-game filters would be more interesting. If a player types certain keywords, the speech could be suspended from being posted until Rast approved it. That way, we could still offer people subtle hints, but no-one would give the whole game away.

Here's my point, you filter out "Methelusah" as you said and quickly discover that doesn't do jack because his name is "Methuselah". So you filter that out too, but now you realize that you've got to filter out every possible typo and misspelling of the name, including Meth, Methy, Methie, etc. That doesn't even filter out, "the dude that sells food," "the food merchant", "the food guy", etc etc etc. And that's just dealing with talking about the name! How are you going to filter out talking about what he does, the quest, how to find him, what he can do, what he can't do, blah blah blah when he isn't mentioned by name? And that's just to deal with this one quest, if Rast adds more, then he's gotta do all that for the new quests too.
Come on, it's a waste of time.
(So are swear filters, btw. People just get creative and use things like $hit, fcuk, whatever.)

I didn't say people couldn't blab about it at all. I just said they wouldn't be able to do it quite so easily.

Not interested in trying to hide stuff from people. If it's not in the docs, I'm not going to tell you about it directly. Don't give a damn if someone else does. MIGHT get a little antsy if you're blabbing about it right in the game's public comms.
That said, I don't mind posting some details like the Ramulgorithms, that's somewhere on here.
