GoG is not currently under active development, and frankly the code is in an awful state.
That's not to say I've abandoned it entirely, especially since some players still seem to enjoy it a lot. It certainly has a higher player turnover rate than Battle Mines at the time of this post. I will still fix bugs, but new features are going to be extremely limited.

Hey! This game looks like a lot of fun, and a lot more original than UrbanDead (at least in theme) I'm also trying Battle Mines but it seems daunting at first. Congrats!

Battle Mines is a little confusing at first, but way better than GoG in the long run, because of its complexity. Once you get past the initial 'what the- ?' stage where you don't know what anything is, it's a lot of fun : )

pfft.. GoG is the better game by far! i mean, nothing in BM can compare to the thrill of hunting someone down and killing them... or running away from Poe who is actuvely hunting you in the wastelands. its the interaction with other players and uncertainty of life and death that makes GoG way better. PLUS it has godzilla.

Seriously - GoG's main advantage is that it makes you happy when you do stuff. So much adventure and fun!

Well I never managed half the terms in GoG - it all got a little confusing for me. But successfully attacking someone who's been vassalaging the crap out of you for weeks is pretty satisfying, I reckon.
