What's the point in getting critters to stand guard? I mean, they just walk off anyways. Even if you leave them guarding a square that is littered in food!

And will the stable feed horses? Also, having a city on the pole sucks. Can have only 6 buildings... no special building AFAIK...

animals don't like being in the city, they will move away from it.
you might have something though, animals wouldn't normally wander away if food was abundant..
the AI is very rudimentary at the moment.
