Our informant with Juanito perished when the tree she was hiding in got destroyed!
Really? She was hiding up a tree? What a silly place to hide!
Would she have moved if the tree had been scrapped?

Pretty sure informants move if the buildings are scrapped (hard not to see those bulldozers coming). They used to, at least.

You will find no exceptions regarding types of building or methods of destruction in the manual when it comes to spy death. Trees: Check. Scrapping: Check.
I do plan to put up new versions of the manual, it's being revised frequently. For now I try to list any outward-facing changes on the home page.
