who's going to change to what when we unlock terraforming?
Seems to be way too much bauxite on the board!

I hope someone terraforms to URO soon, so I can vassalize them and get some sweet sweet vassal trades.

Really? Nice work.
I notice you aren't really partaking in all the battling, so is that a confirmation that in spite of the odd vassalization it's quite possible to make progress?

Well, being forced to trade away all of my bauxite (which I don't care about) for coal (which I sorely need) is not hurting me at all. What is really hitting me hard is losing my academy - rebuilding that shit is stupidly hard on the black market. I had to chop down 3 trees and 15ish crops to get enough food to trade for 3 mats. I think the EUR is being overvalued on the Black Market... it took something like 10 food and 3 ALU to get one.

I'm working on URO again for level -2 right now, is there any way we could get a defensive warfare policy window so that defenders aren't always on Defcon One? It is very difficult to save mats up if those are the first things that get tossed on defense.
I know requests are probably not going to get filled, but in this case, it already exists - but only on attack. Not sure how difficult it would be to echo that window for defense...

That URO man, I'm pretty sure I lost it all at least 3 times while getting the rest of my sand! Still, if I had to suffer through it, surely the rest of you guys do too right?

Heh, well... not sure "I had to, you do it to" is the best way to improve overall gameflow and health, but lets see what Rast has to say.

Well I'm hearing this from both of you now, so it definitely seems to be a concern.
I take it you're saving up for that URO tech level; I handled that just by black marketing up the uro last thing. It seems to be a liability having uranium in your inventory right now, especially given that its combat power is far reduced from the last BM.
That said I am loathe to complicate the rules. I am filing your observations under important, but I want to see how things fare when we actually have full-time URO miners, they will probably have even more thoughts on the subject.
The game right now I feel is a little too hard, and this might be symptomatic. But that's okay, it's easier to make it easier than to make it harder. I am in the process of implementing something that will make it a lot more fun for everybody, should be out later this week.
Thanks for your reports.

I've just had an interesting idea.. what if we had another rule on combat victory.
If the number of buildings destroyed is tied, add one more item: Whoever used more powerful munitions, wins.
Ie. if you used no URO and your opponent used URO, they win. If your opponent used URO and you used EUR, you win.
No limitation on quantity, just whether you fired at least one of that level munition or not.
Going to mull that over too..

I like that idea, given that the concept of vassalage as described in the manual is a superior show of force cowing the populace. Bigger boom = bigger fear.

I'll second that movement, that sounds like a great idea.
