Thank you for electing me as Speaker for the Senate. Since the Speaker has slightly more political pull, it seems only fair to get a consensus from the denizens of Battle Minia before casting my votes for each issue. Let the people have their say! (amirite?) So here's your chance to state your case, pro or con, for each issue. If you have an argument for either side of an issue, your fellow Battle Miners and I would like to see it (but keep any further discussion clean; no flame wars.) If you'd simply like to state how you prefer to vote on each issue, I'll take those into consideration as well. Why not? Nobody uses it anyway, and I don't like the idea of my vassals being able to pay me off with food. You invest a lot in attacking someone - both in the ammo and shells, and in rebuilding from whatever they shoot back at you. If your vassal can just pay you off and diminish this victory, then I find it rather silly.
It is one of the reasons that I cannot wait for Seats of Power to come back: Reichstag was my permanent SoP for years, and if it functions in a similar way in 2.0 then it will be here too.

Human rights: Strict, Moderate, Lax Strict, it is good that there are more ways to get out of vassalage than just shooting back. Also it actually allows for making peace. You can do that without bribing too but it's way more contrived. For this I usually go with just whatever I'm running (mostly environmental) Unlimited, prohibiting or limiting it is a trollish measure. Ban, for the same reasons as above, landmines are pretty much evil. I don't really care about this, but I guess Taxed because DDDs are detrimental to everyone. My opinion on this has changed back and forth, I consider all them valid options I don't care much about this either, just NOT condone fascism. Thanks for your input, and happy battle/mining!
