1. Empty tile. Tap to move. 2. Tap items to walk over and pick them up. 3. Tap creatures to attack or interact. 4. Flying creatures must land before they can be attacked. 5. Some tiles have better defense. 6. Some tiles take two taps to move into. 7. Some tiles are impassable. 8. Tap yourself to rest. Rest x3 to heal a heart. a. Hearts. If these run out, you die. b. Attack and defense. Pierce negates enemy defense. c. The coloured bars are compasses. Red is a quest!d. The compass key translates the colours. e. Lever meter. Higher levels mean better loot, harder enemies and quests. f. Inventory. Tap items with a double border to use them.

you can be (goat) butted into impassible terrain. Unsure if this is a bug or a feature, or if it provides any defensive bonus or other advantage.

There are a plethora of other things going on, I'm only describing the very basics here. You sound surprised at getting butted by a goat.

no, just that it's called impassible above, but technically there's a way to pass into it.

Apologies, that is totally fair. "Impassable" is not an accurate label, "unnavigable" might be better. Impassable is the name under the hood for terrain types a given creature type cannot enter under its own power. scorpions can't enter swamps and water for example, crocodiles can't climb hills, and the hero (you) can't climb mountains. There are still all kinds of other ways to get up there. Boots will stop mountains being impassable, you can fly a magic carpet on top of a mountain, and as you discovered you can get "pushed" up a mountain.
