MOVEMENT
Some terrain types and traps take two moves to enter or exit, others are impassable.
When struggling with such terrain, you must move in the same direction twice in a row.
When a creature on the ground moves towards a flyer, the flyer is bumped into a random tile.
If you move toward a friendly animal or person, you will swap places with it.
Slow or stunned creatures will miss moves. Fast ones get multiple moves, some items allow this too.
COMBAT
Try to maneuver so that you are in a forest while your foe is not, to enjoy a defensive bonus.
Creatures much smaller than you are hard to hit, so you will miss the first and every other swing.
This dodging is negated if you have something to swat with, like a fan, flail or shovel.
HEALTH
You can rest three times in a row to heal a heart, but it takes time so your level meter will go up.
A half-heart can be restored to full in a single rest, and is often worth it.
Poison is cured by using any kind of food or drink.
Spending too long in desert or water underground is damaging. Have a useful item or escape route!
INVENTORY
You can only carry one type of item at a time. Choose wisely. Remember where useful items are.
Scrolls are powerful, but are lost from your inventory if you enter water.
Heavy armour (chainmail and plate) will be left behind if you enter water.
MONEY
You can only carry three gold, unless you have an abacus.
The ring and crown will deduct one from the cost of any purchased item.
If you leave an item behind in a store, it will be moved to a storage area.
