I guess Pirate's anti-social behaviour had led him to have no friends on the game at all. Well maybe people from his faction, but we all know that faction is just a massive multi-account. Congratulations!

Ok, yeah. I've just recently joined the game, and I've noticed a theme. Players in this game just don't get along very well, and it's kind of ruining the experience for me.
I've never been attacked by Pirate, and even if I was to be wiped out by him, I still wouldn't approve of the player being banned. Yes, he's being a grade A bastard to a lot of people, but, there are those who can't really help it. Pirate is probably one of them.

Maybe Pirate can not even read! He has not posted anything in the forums yet. His spelling is almost like a school child. Maybe he should hire a tutor to help him.

You anons shouldn't be so mean to Pirate (he outlasted ninja, didn't he?  ). Sure, he's been a jerk, and, though I disagree, I can see why some would like him banned. That's no reason to insult and taunt him as an anon. Although if you were to do so openly, it would be a little more honorable. On the other hand, if the anons actually ARE Pirate, this whole thing is pointless. |

Personal attacks and trolling are usually bannable offenses, anon. Rast is a bit busy at the moment, but I'm quite sure he feels in relatively the same way.
Pirate has done nothing wrong under the rules as they stood at the time. If he has multi accounts, I'm sure this will be sorted out by Rasteroid at the proper time. Attacking multiple people is completely allowed, even if feelings get hurt in the process. However, trying to rile up support against someone who's game strategies you don't agree with by posting under an anonymous tag is certainly not an acceptable behavior.
Please think about what you are posting before you post it - you are not anonymous.

Well, to be technical, there's no way to tell who's the anon on the proboard. But Rast knows who you are on the ingame forum...

His IP address is logged right there in the lower right hand corner. Rast can compare that IP to all access requests on the site and know exactly who it is.

I don't like Pirate or the multis, but I think this thread isn't the way to deal with it. And Witch, that wasn't the mood of the in-game chat some months or even weeks ago. It all started more or less when the Jousters showed up. But perhaps those causing the fuss are not actually them, but the people who oppose them. Nobody likes being bombed to the ground, and I personally dislike when on top of that they tell me not to complain... but that's quite different a thing form starting a support platform for banning Pirate. Which I really dislike is the use of chat reasons to justify nuking. That way I could, let's say, nuke everyone whose every third post starts with an A. And, In general, I hate bullying and similar behaviors with a passion.
All the way for obliterating the multis, though.

Being bombed into oblivion repeatedly in a short time is irritating enough, but to then say you should be happy about it seems kind of like a taunt to me. Well, that, and the whole "just build better defenses than I have" seems a bit off when they know you've got a -2 URO tile, stuck in Anarchy, with no food and a Fallout of 50, and blast you again every time the vassalage expires. I think that's where the real issue was. Still, banning a player is not the solution to that. |
